Obituary for Mr Todd "Butch" Curtis Hardin
Todd “Butch” Curtis Hardin, 74, of Columbus passed from this life on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Todd was born on August 20, 1944 the son of James and Corellia Webster Hardin. On September 15, 2013 he married Loretta S. Stillabower.
Mr. Hardin was a United States Army veteran and retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement where he had been a truck driver and also as a salesclerk. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Moose Lodge, VFW, and Eagles Lodge. Some of his greatest joys were fishing, playing games, watching western movies, the BYU channel, and making fudge.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta S. Hardin of Columbus; daughter, Kelly (Hardin) Reese of Columbus; Step-son, Michael (Stacy) Stillabower of Columbus; granddaughter, Lilianna Rose Gagneur; Step-grandchildren, Sierra and Cheyenne Stillabower; Brother, Richard Hardin of Columbus; Sisters, Florence Hall of Columbus, Marjie (Fields) Wade of Columbus, Virginia Atwood of Oklahoma, Alice Allen of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Warren, John, James, Guss, Russell and Benjamin Hardin; and sisters, Lavana Jackson and Barbara Boles.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 1:30p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 3330 30th Street, Columbus with Bishop Matthew Henrichsen officiating.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and also on Friday from 12:30p.m. till time of service at the church.
Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery with full military rites performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
