Mrs. Naaman Hansford Burkhead, of 3738 Bardstown Road, died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday at Norton-Children's Hospitals. She was the former Elsie Drane. She was a member of the Douglass Boulevard Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was past president of Daviess County Medical Auxiliary and the Louisville Women's Club. She was co-founder of the University of Louisville Dames Club and a member of the Abraham Hite Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Dames of the Magna Carta. Survivors include her husband, Dr. N.H. Burkhead; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel W. Burke; a son, William Kenneth Burkhead ...
