Richard "Ricky" Murphy Johns, 57, of Eden passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at UNC Rockingham Health in Eden.
Ricky was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on October 31, 1960 a son of Dickie Osteen Johns and Sarah Reynolds Perdue.
He worked in the textile business until his health began to decline at an early age. He loved to sing and entertained lots of people at several assisted living facilities.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Sarah Perdue.
He was preceded in death by his father; Dickie Osteen Johns and brother, Bobby Ray Groover.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Wednesday evening, September 19, 2018 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, Sarah Perdue, Eden, NC. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
