GRACE M. (MOORE) McDONALD
On April 1st, 1932 Grace was born to William and Edna Moore. She was one of nine children. She grew up around the Russell area and attended Hawkeye County School until 8th grade. She met Wayne Parrish and they were married April 3rd, 1949 and to this union two children were born, Debra and Linda. Grace loved being on the farm and spending time with family, gardening, cooking and mowing the yard. Her husband Wayne, of 31 years died after a long extended illness. She then met Richard McDonald and the two were married. Grace and Richard enjoyed their time together until after 31 years of marriage Richard passed away.
She leaves behind one brother, Truman (Donna) Moore, daughter, Linda (Rich) Scholtus, granddaughters, Shelly (Todd) Chapman, Amy (Cory) Swigart, grandson, Marcus Davis, great-grandchildren, Drew and Danica Derringer, Jake Chapman, Abby (Zach) Lockman, Cara and Lillian Swigart, great-great grandchild, Sayge Lockman, and many nieces and nephews and friend, Charles Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Moore, husbands, Wayne Parrish and Richard McDonald, daughter, Debra Davis, brothers, Bernard, Paul, Jim, Donnie and Bill Moore, sisters, Doris Ball and Evelyn Cronin, sisters-in-law, Ardith, Juanita, Judy and Maxine Moore., brothers-in-law, Charles Ball and Leo Cronin.
