Freida Maurine Creech, better known as “Tootsie”, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2019 at her home in Temple, Texas at the beautiful age of 93.

Tootsie was born on December 27, 1925 near Mt. Enterprise, Texas to the late Jack Hall and Leila May (Corder) Sanders. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to so many.

Tootsie worked as a supervisor for the Plastic Extrusion department at Kelly Air Force base in San Antonio, Texas during WWII. She was the 1st female Journeyman ever in that shop. Tootsie will forever be remembered for her love of family, her unique passion for reading and her devotion and active dedication for 65 years to the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tootsie met the love of her life in 1941 and married him in 1945. Their love for each other has continued to grow as they celebrated 73 years and 7 months of marriage.

Tootsie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and six brothers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by their 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and her youngest brother of San Antonio, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral home, with a Visitation for family and friends prior to the services from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Will Passmore will be officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
