Mr. Wayne Dillard Carter, 74, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the home of his daughter.

Mr. Carter was born in Mocksville, NC on June 6, 1944, a son of Dillard and Mabel Carter, both deceased.

He was retired from Fieldcrest Mills. He was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Richard Carter, Billy Dean Carter, Robert Earley and his sisters, Betty Jean McKnight, Linda Mitchell and Shirley McKnight.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Tracy Carter (James Ingram); his brothers, Tommy Carter and Bobby Carter; his sisters, Ruth James and Becky Shaffer; his grandchildren, Kayla Carter, Jordan Carter, Samantha Carter, Capri Ingram, Vaida Ingram and his great grandchildren, Kynleigh and Jackson Pratt.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm before the service at the funeral home. Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Carter Family.
