Elisabeth (Ilse) Sarver was born November 20, 1925 in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. She came to America in 1948 residing in Michigan until 1982
when she moved to Vancouver, WA.
Ilse’s hands were never idle due to her love of knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening to name but a few of her passions in life. She had a love for the outdoors and
always ready for a new adventure.
Ilse is survived by her four children,
Karen (Larry) Wade, Sharon Hennig, John and Ronald Sarver. Two of her children, Jane and Karl Sarver preceded her in death. Ilse is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. One grandson and great grandson preceded her in death. lse will be greatly missed as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
Ilse has been a long-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Her life-long faith in God kept Ilse spiritually strong even as her own health deteriorated. She kept her same trust in God that had sustained her through her own losses and trials in life.
A ceremony was held for Ilse Sarver at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Brush Prairie on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Internment in the Bethel Lutheran cemetery followed upon conclusion of the service.
