She was born January 15, 1919, in Heiskell, Tennessee, and attended South Clinton Baptist Church. She was an expert seamstress and quilter and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was a kind and gentle soul who saw the world through smiling eyes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James Havens; parents, John A. and Stella Mitchell; sisters, Nell Mitchell and Lois Mitchell Golden. She is survived by daughters, Donna Wilson, Sherry Arnold (Gene) of Laurel, Montana; grandchildren, Scott Eaton (Krista) of Missoula, Montana, Sherry Huff (Richard) of Lander, Wyoming, Amy DeTienne (Nick) of Laurel, Montana, Janeira Bever (Doug) of Casper, WY, Lindsay Hilpp (Eric) of Phoenix, AZ; twelve great grandchildren; brother, J.C. Mitchell (Sue) of Andersonville; sister, Elizabeth Lumbert of Heiskell. A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m., June 15, 2013, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Andersonville, TN. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
