Born May 16, 1946 in Horry County, she is the daughter of the late Claude B. Housand and the late Iris Amber Long Housand. She worked at Jack’s Mobile Home Supply and was a former member of the Mechanicsville Fire Department. Mrs. Doris, also affectionately known as Momma Doris loved people and enjoyed fishing and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James E. Pearson, a son, Troy (Amber) Pearson, a daughter, Renee Taylor, grandchildren: Joey (Brandy) Pearson, James C. (Brooke) Pearson, Caitlin Pearson, Danielle Taylor, Kelly (Rayce) Collins: ; great-grandchildren: Gracie Pearson and Colt Pearson, a brother Ralph (Toni) Housand, sisters: Carol (Donnie) Todd, Barbara ( Billy) McDowell, Brenda Norris; a special four-legged friend, Reagan Pearson and special friends; the Goude family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Housand and mother-in-law, Lena Barnhill .
