Shirley Lillie age 83 of Montezuma, Iowa passed away Tuesday at the Montezuma Specialty Care in Montezuma, Iowa. Burial in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell, Iowa.

Shirley Jeane Grovenburg was the daughter of Dennis W and Ola Belle Conger Grovenburg. She attended school in Grinnell.

Shirley was married to Manly Lillie in 1952 at Unionville, Mo. To this union three children were born, Carolyn, Gary and Debra.

Shirley owned and managed a fish and pet store in Grinnell and later one in Montezuma. She also worked and managed the marina at Lake Ponderosa.

She received her Realtor’s license in the middle 70’s and worked at Century 21 in Grinnell, Citizen’s Realty, and then Tompkin’s Realty in Montezuma for over 30 years. In addition, she owned an antique and collectible store, Timeless Treasures, in Montezuma.

Shirley enjoyed genealogy, flowering plants, bird watching, puzzles, the Dairy King, bingo, and her favorite TV show, Oak Island. She loved her family and spending time with them.
