Born June 19, 1911, at Cabool, he was the son of Rufus S. and Leona Chambers Geisler. He attended school at Cabool.
He married Winifred Irish and they had six children; Marvin, Richard, Melvin, Jerry, Opal, and Della.
He moved to Nyssa, Oregon, in 1948, where he met and married Alice Lasley. They had one daughter, Leona.
He worked for Amalgamated Sugar Co. in Nyssa for 17 years.
He married Anita Merrill in 1961.
He owned and operated the Canyon Club and Cafe in Parma, Idaho, until his death. Anita preceded him in death in 1984.
Surviving are his children, Marvin Geisler of Statesville, N.C., Richard Geisler of Tyrone, Melvin Geisler of Mountain Grove, Jerry Geisler of Turlock, Calif., and Leona Fay Scroggins of Parma, Idaho; six stepchildren, Earnest Lasley of Nyssa, Oregon, Alven Lasley of Quincy, Washington, Kay Mangum of Eagle, Idaho, Leon Lasley of Ontario, Oregon, Don Merrill of Touchet, Washington, and Lorraine Stephens of LaGrande, Oregon; one brother, Andy Geisler of Columbia; and a sister, Opal Leigh of Portland, Oregon; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Opal and Della.
Services were November 28 at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Parma. Burial was in the Parma Cemetery.
