Josiah Dill was my great great great grandfather. I have been searching for his burial place for ten years and have finally found him in an unmarked grave in a lot in Beech Grove Cemetery in Pomeroy oh with his great grandson and great great grandson, Robert and Frank Dill. The lot is in Josiah’s name and was found in the Meigs Museum in the Beech Grove Cemetery records and states Josiah is in an unmarked grave. I enlisted the help of my fourth cousin , who is also Josiah’s great great great granddaughter, Penny Brinker and her husband Butch Brinker to probe the grave and we found his coffin intact. Penny’s father was Frank and Robert was her grandfather. Penny and I purchased a headstone and it was placed on his grave last evening 8-7-19, by Butch and my boyfriend Don Frymyer. I feel at peace now that we have found him and that he now has a tombstone so that others that are looking for him can find him. I feel that he can finally Rest In Peace .
