Habijah was the son of Major Thomas Savage and Faith Hutchinson. Some of his records are under spelling as : Abijah, Habbiah. Source: Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records. He was baptized at First Church of Boston, graduated Harvard College in 1655, and soon after served as Captain of Mass. Militia. On May 3, 1665, he became a member of The Ancient & Honorable Artillery of Boston, like his father and brothers.

Habijah married Hannah Tyng 1640-1688, on 8 May 1661. Their children were:
Joseph Savage 1662-1663, died infant.
Thomas Savage 1664-1749 (Linked)
Hannah (Gookin) 1667-1702. (linked) twin, wife of Nathaniel Gookin 1656-1692.
Mary (Weld) 1667-1731 (linked) twin, wife of Rev. Thomas Weld 1653-1702

Habijah Savage "died while on a trip to Barbados in connection with his business as trader". (Pg.9) Year 1668/1699.

His estate was granted May 24, 1670 to his widow.
