Clarence James "C.J." Buchanan, 21, of Downingtown, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Lebanon County.

Born in Coatesville, C.J. was the son of James C., Jr. and Janet R. (Ashbrook) Buchanan.

He was a 2015 graduate of Twin Valley High School and had pursued intents of attending Art School.

C.J. worked as an overnight stocking associate for the Giant in Exton.

He enjoyed playing video games, hanging out with his friends and cousins and going to concerts.

C.J. had a passion for the arts; possessing a talent which he expressed through drawing and music.

In addition to his parents, C.J. is survived by his brothers, Michael Buchanan, Sean Buchanan, and Patrick Fleck; maternal grandmother, Lois Ashbrook; and numerous aunt, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, James Ashbrook, and paternal grandparents, James C., Sr. and Marylou Buchanan.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 am on Saturday, February 16th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, where his service will take place at 11 am.

Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to help offset the cost of his final expenses and help relieve the family of such a sudden financial burden would be greatly appreciated.
