: CHESAPEAKE - Mrs. Acra Maie Gay, 84, of 4203 Surf Ave., died Monday in a Chesapeake hospital. She was a native of North Carolina and the widow of William Alvin Gay.
She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Snyder and Mrs. Vivian Ashe of Virginia Beach; two sons, Mahlon C. Gay of Virginia Beach and Dan C. Gay of Chesapeake; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at 956 Redwood Circle, Virginia Beach, and at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
