Ollie Ruth Duncan was born April 12, 1936, Ollie Ruth slipped quietly and joyfully into the loving arms of Jesus on July 27, 2019.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday July 29, 2019 at Central Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Robby Harris with burial to follow in the Brazos Valley Cemetery under the care and direction of GilesMcCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont. She experienced 83 years on this Earth.

Ollie was born to D.C. (David Cunningham) Duncan and Ollie Merworth Duncan and had one sibling, Pat Duncan Jr. whom she lovingly called “Brother”.

She was preceded in death by all three.

Ollie never married nor had children of her own, but every precious baby, child and adult that she met, quickly became one of her babies and a member of her family. Actually, Ollie Ruth had several families: her “blood” family, her “Church” family, and her “Gibson Care Center” family. She loved us all with everything she had. She spent many hours crafting gifts to be given out at the annual family reunions and to anyone and everyone else as well. She would start the day after the reunion each year making stuff for the upcoming year’s event. Ollie possessed one of the sweetest and most generous souls that God ever put into a body.

Ollie is survived by so many people that were immensely special to her. First by her immediate family: Joe Duncan, nephew, and family; Paula Raymond, niece, and children, Callen, Jordan, Sadie; Mart Duncan, nephew, and daughter Chanelle; Beki Austin, niece, and children Caden and Saraya. She is also survived by many cousins: Billie Carter (Billie 2), and children; Stephen and Debra Petterson, and children; Billie Walker (Billie 1) and children; and so many others, who although they may not be listed here, were in no way any less special to Ollie.

Ollie was a special person who always radiated happiness, love, and joy, wherever she was. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.
