Susan was a curator of beauty in every form. An avid artist and art collector, she filled her home, Rosebay, with food, flowers, humor, and the smell of tea and books enjoyed by a cheerful fire. A keen observer of the world, her vibrant wit and candor brought joy and laughter to friends and family.
Even with numerous accomplishments, including practice as a clinical psychologist and generous community engagement, her greatest source of pride was the family she loved and nurtured: her husband, Alan C. Leonard, and her three children, William, Sarah, and Caroline.
A faithful and confident servant of the lord and rests peacefully with him now.
Memorials could be made to the Pacolet Area Conservancy, 2060 Lynn Road, Suite 1, Columbus, NC 28722.
