According to the Wightman Ancestry by Wade C. Wightman, Bethia Wightman was born 28 Jan 1782 in Lebanon. New London, CT to William Wightman (#102756549) and Ruth Bethia Thomas who is supposed to also be buried in the Dennison Corner's Cemetery along with Ruth Bethia's second husband, Deacon Stutely Palmer (#62203053) and his first wife Eunice Palmer Palmer (#113429230).

The Wightman's moved to New York where the daughter Bethia married first Amos Williams (?-19 April 1813) in Parish. Oswego Co., NY on 7 Feb 1802 and later in Parish married Stutely Palmer (#20138399) , son of Deacon Stutely and Eunice Palmer Palmer.
