Susan Garriques Robertson
Pensacola Beach, FL– January 1, 1947 – July 19, 2019
Susan was born in Richmond, VA to David and Dorothy Garriques.
She graduated from Tucker high School in 1965, attended business school post graduate and worked at channel 12 where she met her beloved husband of 49 years, Billy.
Susan and Billy moved to Virginia Beach, VA in 1982 where they raised their 2 children- she held various jobs throughout her long life but will be remembered for her most important roles as a devoted wife and loving Mother. They relocated to Covington, LA in 2000 and divided their time between Covington and Pensacola Beach for the last five years.
Susan loved her family but mostly she adored her husband Billy (Boo) and their life together.
Susan was happily married to William (Billy) Robertson for 49 years. They have 2 children who survive her, William (Robby) Robertson III (Cheryl) and
Ashley Robertson Strazzullo, RN and their Cat, Dexter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy P. Garriques and David J. Garriques, SR.
Susan is also survived by her sister Nancy Coles (Ron) and brothers Stephen Garriques (Theresa) and David Garriques (Rhonda) and many nieces and nephews who she loved with all her heart.
The family would like to thank the Pensacola Beach Fire and Rescue who did all they could to save her, we are grateful for you and thank you for all you do. She was full of life and our lives will be forever changed by her sudden departure from this earth. She was the center of our family- the glue that held us all together.
A viewing will be held Thursday, July 25th from 5-7pm and Friday July 26th from 1030-1130am Funeral immediately to follow at Roselawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, Fl. A burial will follow at 1pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Base.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pensacola Humane Society, Richmond Humane society or VA Beach humane society.
