Funeral services for Mr. Nathaniel "Nate" Rawls Barnes, age 88 of Fayetteville, TN, conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Black officiating. Burial in Barnes cemetery beside his wife Mrs. Alice Inez Barnes who passed away in 2003.
A native of Lincoln County he was the son of the late Delia (Tucker) and Richard Horton Barnes.
He was a veteran of the Navy and Army Air Corps, Retired from Redstone Arsenal and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three daughters Patricia Moyers of Fayetteville, Sandra (Billy Joe) Wolaver of Fayetteville, Nancy (Ronnie) Woods of Fayetteville, one son Willie R. Barnes of Fayetteville, 11 grandchildren and
21 great grandchildren, and one sister opal Johnson of Nashville, TN.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law David C. Moyers Jr.
