Robert M. (Squeaky) Barnes of the Harms community died Wednesday in Lincoln County Hospital following a brief illness. He was 70.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Ronnie Hudgins officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Horton and Viola Tucker Barnes. He was a member of Harms Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II and a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Wilburn Barnes of Harms; a daughter, Mrs. Malcolm Spray of Fayetteville; two sons, Larry Barnes of Huntsville and Bobby F. Barnes of Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Humphrey of Nashville and Mrs. Annie Lou Fenton of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Knox Barnes, Burt Barnes, and Nathaniel Rawls Barnes, all of Fayetteville; 9 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
