My 2nd great-grandfather, John Madison Lane (Sr), was born on 22 Feb 1805 in Jackson, GA.

At age 32, he was married to Phebe Alice Waldon, daughter of David Waldon and Mary Hickman, on 24 Sep 1837 in Walker, AL.

1840 census in Jun 1840: John Madison Lane was listed as the head of a family in Walker Co, AL.
