Waterloo Courier: Mrs. David Conklin, 22, of 222 Walnut St., died about 5:47 a.m. Monday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a kidney problem. . . . Mrs. Conklin gave birth to a son, Bradley Rae, Saturday morning. Her physician said her condition was good until 3 p.m. Sunday when she became unconscious. She remained unconscious until her death.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Fred Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Friends may call at Parrott & Wood funeral home from Tuesday noon until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
She was born Jareth McMechan on Jan. 22, 1937, at Oelwein, the daughter of James and Ruby Dent McMechan. She was married to David Conklin on September 3, 1955.
She was a graduate of East High School in 1954.
In addition to her husband and her parents, now living at 1050 Oregon St., and her infant son, she is survived by a brother, James McMechan, Ames, and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lola Dent, Harlan, Ia.
