Milton Randy Erickson, 74, of La Grande, Or., died July 19 at Grande Rhonde Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11am Aug 24 at the Elgin Methodist Church wit a potluck to follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Daniels-Knopp Funeral, Cremation & Life Celebration Center.

Known as Randy, he was born July 16 1945 in La Grande, Oregon to Milton Herschel and Loreene Bernita (Horn) Erickson. He attended Elgin schools, graduating from Elgin High School. Randy grew up attending the First Christian Church in Elgin and later went to the Methodist aChurch.
Randy worked as chef. His most recent position was with Harrah's in Reno, Nevada. In 2009 he returned to La Grande from Reno. Randy enjoyed music and played the piano, accordion, organ and keyboard. He was also an oil paint artist and woodworker and made more than 100 quilts, many for charity
Surviving relatives include his brother, Tony Erickson of Union; nephjew Adam Erickson and niece Sheri Lou Anderson
He was prededed in death by is parents and two brothers, Marvin and Ed Erickson
