A family of four generations is shown in this group. Alvin A. Shaw, 72, was born in Indiana in 1858, his son, Charles A. Shaw, in Custer county, Neb., in 1883, Floyd Shaw, also born in Custer county, 25 years ago, and the great grandson, David Charles Shaw, three years old and born at Fort Collins, Colo. David has three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shaw and Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Randle of Colorado and five great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Shaw, West Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. William Poland and Mrs. Lunsford of Colorado.

Alvin A. Shaw died at 5:15 o'clock Thursday morning at a local hospital. He was 73 years of age. His home was on rural route No. 2. He had been a resident of Lincoln for 13 years. He is survived by his widow, Eliza; two sons, Charles and Aden and 12 grandchildren, all of Lincoln. The body is at Splain and Schnell's pending funeral arrangements.
