William Clarence (Bill) Hawk, age 70, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Veterans’ Home, Cameron, Missouri. Bill was born March 2, 1949, in Iola, Kansas, to George W. Hawk and Marjory (Bash) Hawk.

Bill served from 1970 to 1976 in the United States Army, Army Reserves, and Kansas Army National Guard. Bill served during the Vietnam War, earning the Rifle Marksman Award, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Hawk; two sisters, Katherine West and Georgia “Maxine” Hoddy; sister-in-law, Jeannette Hawk; and brother-in-law, Dale Jackman.

Bill is survived by one son, two daughters, three brothers, four sisters and two granddaughters, Mauriela Rubio and Lucila Rubio, Shakopee, Minnesota.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, in the LaHarpe Cemetery, 2521 Nebraska Road, LaHarpe, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the LaHarpe VFW Post 6324 or to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas.
