Daughter of Count Siegfried Casimir Friedrich zu Castell-Rüdenhausen and Princess Irene zu Solms-Laubach. She married first, Prince Ludwig Ferdinand Oskar Christian of Prussia, 24 May 1975. He died shortly after being severely injured in a military training accident in 1977.

1. Georg Friedrich, b. 10 Jun 1976; m. Countess Sophie of Isenburg-Birstein; four children. He is the nominal heir to the German monarchy and the head of the House of Hohenzollern.
2. Cornelie-Cecile Viktoria Luise, b. 30 Jan 1978. She was born developmentally disabled and lives mostly out of the public eye.
