Ben Schimmer of Holstein died at his home on Saturday afternoon. He had been ill for some time having suffered a stroke and had received treatment at a Sioux City hospital. He is a former resident of this community, having farmed east of town for many years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rosa Schimmer of Holstein, a son, Leo and a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Leona) Maguire, several grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. T.E. Kennalley and Mrs. Mary Dimig, and three brothers, Henry, Will, and Andy, all of Danbury.
