Passed away Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital East in Lafayette.

Son of Emil and Ada Rosentreter.
Married Ruth Wilson May 25, 1957 in Westville, IL.She passed away November 26, 2009.
Survivors include son Roger (Denise) Rosentreter; granddaughter Katie Rosentreter.
He was also preceded in death by brothers Harold and Ralph Rosentreter, and sisters Margaret Mahoy and Norma Mann.

1948 graduate of Chalmers High School.

Received the Purple Heart while serving in the United States Army in Korea.

Farmed in White and Tippecanoe counties before moving to Waveland in 1965 where he continued farming.

64 year member of American Legion Post 72, member of the Crawfordsville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Amvets of Rockville and a 54 year member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Crawfordsville.

He enjoyed travelling, Colts Football and Purdue and Pacers Basketball.

Funeral service with military honors 1pm Monday, July 15 at Burkhart Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Stone officiating.
Visitation 11am until time of service.
