1880 - 10 yr old Nancy lived with both parents and six siblings in Sandlick, Buchanan County, VA (now Dickenson County).
1890 Census - Federal records destroyed in fire.
1900 - Married Nancy still living in Sandlick. Records year of birth as 1860 instead of 1870 but states age as 30 and marked over as 40. Married 11 years. husband first marked as 35 yrs then 40. Lists Nancy as having had 5 children, 4 living.
1910 - Dickenson County, lists Nancys age as 38, married for 21 yrs (age 17) had 8 kids, 6 living, husband listed as a log contractor.
1920 - Widowed Nancy listed as 35 instead of 48, still living in Sandlick, with 17 yr old son, Dewey, and 14 yr old dau Marie. All supposedly can read/write.
1926 - Nancy dies.

Married Charles Deel Anderson on 9/26/1889. he died 1919.

Their children:
1. John Morgan Anderson 1891-1966. Was a teacher, a merchant at haysi, VA and grundy, Mayor of grundy, VA. Married genoa Taulbee Jackson on 7/29/1916. had one child.
Died at 75 yrs of a heart attack, conjestive heart failure, high blood pressure, chronic lung disease.

2. grover Cleveland Anderson 1893-1991. Married Flora Owens on 11/22/1915 in Dickenson County. Lived at Nancy, VA. Was a mail carrier and a miner. Served in Co L, 317th Inf. had 11 children.

3. Noah Waldron/Walden Anderson 1894-1981. Married Fannie Bell Suterland on 5/2/1917 in Dickenson County, VA. he was a miner. Lived at Nancy, VA. had three children. Retired about 1950 to hollister, FL.

4. Charles Carl Anderson - 1897-1949; married Ruby Deel on 5/22/1919 in Dickenson County, VA. Durin WWI served in 4t Co, CAC and Battery D, 43rd CAC in France. he was a miner. had 10 children. Died of suspected TB (?), Uremia, was only 52. Buried in Temple hill.

5. Alfred Dewey Anderson 10/28/1902 (source: Delayed BC) -1985. Married Betty Parker on 10/28/1926 in Dickenson County, VA. Was a farmer and rural mail carrier at Nancy, VA until 1918. Went back to school, received a teachers certificate and taught two terms. Moved to Chicago where he worked for Sears Roebuck Co 1928-1944. Moved to Wisconsin were they owned and operated a hunting and fishing lodge in Mercer, Wisconsin, 1944-1956. Moved to FL where he worked for general Electric at Cape Canaveral Missile Test Center. In 1976, they retired to Johnson City, Tennessee.

6. Marjorie Anderson 1907-1996. Married Paul Deel on 9/12/1923 in Dickenson County, VA. he was a miner at Clinchco, VA. Lived on Mill Creek of McClure River in Dickenson County, VA. In 1926, they moved to hominy, Oklahoma. husband, Paul, worked for the highway department and ranched. had two children.

Remarried on 5/7/1923 to Jessee Jefferson grizzle (son of William grizzle and Mary Rasnick of Russell Co, VA). Nancy, died 11/15/1926. No children. Jesse died 1/16/1927 and is buried in Nancy, VA.
