CORYDON DEMOCRAT OBITUARY – 1992
Henrietta Day, 71, Corydon, died Tuesday at Harrison County Hospital. She was born March 6, 1920, in Wolf Creek, KY, the daughter of the late Martin & Ollie Troutman Chism. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Floyd County Post #3281 New Albany. Survivors include 4 sons, John U. Day of Corydon, Carl R. Fisher of Louisville, William L. Fisher of Franklin and Benjamin P. Fisher of New Smyrna, FL; 2 daughters, Alice M. Fisher of Corydon and Virginia L. Stewart of Polaski, TN; 2 brothers, Ray Chism of Palmyra and Rochella Chism of New Albany; a sister, Mary Black of New Albany; and 11 grandchildren. The funeral is tomorrow at Beanblossom-Cesar at 2 p.m., with burial in Hursttown Cemetery. The Rev. James Foley will officiate. Beth Frank will be organist. Visitation is today from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and tomorrow after 8 a.m. The family suggests memorial gifts to the Hursttown Church.
