Albert Craig Davie was born on September 5, 1925 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Albert and Nina Davie and passed away at his home on Monday, July 8, 2019 southwest of Oakwood, Oklahoma having reached the age of 93 years, 10 months and 3 days.

Craig grew up on the farm southwest of Oakwood which homesteaded by his grandmother, Rose Peterman. Graduated from Oakwood High School in 1943 and enlisted shortly thereafter in the United State Navy. Craig served his country aboard the U.S.S. LSM-24 in the Pacific during World War II and was a very patriotic veteran all his life. He loved his life on the farm and was always ready to share his love of laughter. He had an amazing memory of history and shared his knowledge with friends and family. He will be missed by his family and friends and his faithful dog, Rambo.

Craig is survived by his daughter, Deborah Sharpton of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Shelley Haynes and her husband, Scott of Norman, Oklahoma, Matthew Sharpton and his wife, Jennifer of Salina, Kansas, Rebecca Sharpton of Austin, Texas. He had six great-grandchildren
