Deana (Rethemeyer) King - age 59 of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away Tuesday morning, July 9th, 2019 at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO.

Deans was born on May 19th, 1960 the daughter of Elvin Dean and Mary Ellen (Jones) Rethemeyer in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was a registered nurse and obtained her nursing degree from Penn Valley Community College. Deana worked for Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

On August 28th, 1996 she was united in marriage to Ronnie King at Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, NV.

Deana loved spending time with her grandkids, going to the casino, and vacationing at Lake of the Ozarks. She loved her dog Missy, baking and Christmas time. Deana also enjoyed playing electronic games. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include: husband, Ronnie of the home; daughter, Janessa (Jeremy) Blacketer of Denver, CO; daughter, Stephanie King of Olathe, KS; daughter, Angella (Hugo) Difelippo of Mt. Dora, FL; beloved pet, Missy; sister, Patricia (Billy) Garber of Liberty, MO; sister, Velma (Larry) Brown of Liberty, MO; brother, Troy Rethemeyer of St. Joe, MO; sister, Eugenia (Troy) Ward of St. Joe, MO; sister, Robin Brown of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Rebecca Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother, David (Tina) Kerr, Green Cove Springs, FL; sister, Rhonda (Ricky) Waters of Georgia; grandchildren: Tristen, Abigail, Taylor, Aadric, Trinity, Robert, Breeaunna, Jesse, Emily, Araya; great-grandchildren: Braden and Alaina.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at Stith Family Funeral Home in Lathrop. Visitation will begin at 2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are appreciated. Cremation to follow the services. Inurnment at a later date at Converse Cemetery, southeast of Lathrop. Arrangements entrusted to Stith Family Funeral Home in Lathrop.
