BURLINGTON, Wis. Marguerite K. "Marge" Pierce Moore, 93, of Burlington, Wis., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, with her family at her side. She was born Jan. 4, 1916, in Spring Grove, to the late John and Lydia Andrews Waspi. After attending Richmond and Spring Grove schools, she married John Pierce on Aug. 31, 1940. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1971. She was a homemaker, worked at Richmond Post Office, Leo Karl's Grocery Store and Intermatic for 20 years. She retired in 1981. She was a Richmond Township trustee for 32 years and also served as an election judge for several years.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Gary) Miller of Richmond; a son, Bill (Edie) Pierce of Twin Lakes, Wis.; five grandchildren, Brad (Kris) Miller of Spring Grove, Eric (Anne Marie) Miller of Lake Geneva, Wis., Amy-Lynn Miller of Lake Geneva, Wis., Janice (Dean) Nau of Twin Lakes, Wis., and Karrie (Erik) Osterman of Twin Lakes, Wis.; six great-grandchildren, Justin, Jared and Jason Miller, Jesse and Kasey Nau and Erika Osterman; her brothers, Ed (Betty) Waspi of Twin Lakes and Glenn (the late Regina) Waspi of Crystal Lake; a sister-in-law, Marcella Waspi Spring Grove; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred (Iva) Waspi, Johnny Waspi, Paul (Clarice) Waspi and George Waspi; and sister, Edith (Steve Stanfel and Roland McDonald) McDonald; and a nephew George Stanfel. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Homes, 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes, Wis. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cole Cemetery in Spring Grove.
