Glenn A. Waspi, 97, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Fair Oaks Health Care Center in Crystal Lake, IL.
He was born in Spring Grove, IL on January 8, 1921, a son of the late John and Lydia (Andrews) Waspi. He was a graduate of Richmond High School in 1939. He was married to Regina "Butch" Karls on Feb. 23, 1941, in Spring Grove, IL and she passed away May 28, 2007. He attended St. Thomas the Apostle Crystal Lake, IL. He worked as a master mechanic for E. M. Malhan Construction in Algonquin, IL, for 45 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #150.
Glenn is survived by two sons, Michael (Janell) Waspi, of McHenry, IL, Kevin (Sally) Waspi, of Urbana, IL; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Waspi, of Merrillville, IN; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; and his caregiver, Vicki.
He was preceded by a son, Jeff Waspi; two sisters, Edith McDonald and Marguerite Pierce-Moore; and by five brothers, John, Fred, Paul, George and Edward Waspi.
Visitation will be from Noon Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St, Richmond, IL. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Spring Grove, IL.
