Also surviving are children Randy (Esther) and Gary Thomas; Kimberly (Bradley) White; brothers David (Cathy), Mike (Pam) and Steve (Amanda) Thomas; sisters Vinnie (Larry) Wilkerson, Sue Cox, Nancy Kirts and Jannie Deffenbaugh; grandchildren Rachel Harris (Josh Milbourn) , JT Thomas of Tangier, Ashley (Zach) Norman, Kristin (Tyler) Busenbark and Thomas Soltermann; great-grandchildren Wil Sauter, Blake and Aidan Harris, Taylor, Payton and Kendall Thomas, Sophia, Emma and Isabella Norman; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings Bob Chilacote, Larry Thomas and Leila Thomas.
Worked at Mid States Steel and Wire for 27 years, was a watermelon farmer and worked for Purdue Breaking New Ground as a consultant.
Member of Rush Creek Friends Church in Sylvania.
He was a former Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed wood working, going to gourd shows, camping, fishing, traveling, watching his hummingbirds, and time with his family.
Memorial service 2pm, Saturday, July 6 at Sanders Funeral Care, Kingman with Doug Newnum officiating.
Visitation noon until time of service.
