Katie was the daughter of the late Ocie and Bertha Ella (Smoot) Ullery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Junior Abe; four sisters: Odessa Ashenfelter, Ina Parker, Elizabeth "Tina" Campbell, and Helen Eror; three brothers: Blair, Eugene, and Wallace Ullery. A son-in-law, Gary Silber also preceded her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was graduated from Fort Hill High School, Class of 1943, a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and the Good Samaritans. Leaving behind are three children, eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P. A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Cornerstone Baptist Church on Monday, February 18, 2019, at 10:00a.m., with Pastor Dave Hattenfield and Pastor Grant Abe officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
