She was born April 11, 1932, in Wilkes County, daughter of the late Boyd Wesley Wallace and Nancy Anna Triplett (Wallace) Annas.
She wa also preceded by her husband, Thad Moore Carter and five brothers and sisters.
She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she was a nursery worker.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Rick A. Carter (Joyce) and Todd A. Carter (Lisa); four daughters, Vickie C. Bryant, Julia C. Starnes (Joe Jr.), Jill M. Carter and JoEllen Crump (Brian); eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 officiated by Rev. Stephen Owen and Rev. Rick Carter.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
