Lorraine was united in marriage to Paul James Murray on June 9, 1953 and they had celebrated their 26th anniversary before Paul passed away on May 30, 1980.
Others who preceded Lorraine in death were her parents; four sisters, Daphne, Shirley, Sharon, and Izzola Mae; and a brother, Charles.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Steven and Randi Murray, of Colorado; a daughter and her husband, Tamera and David Prewitt, of Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew, Elias, Justin, and Colleen; three great grandchildren, Alianna, Carson, and Harrison; a brother, David Peck, of Nebraska; three sisters, Barbara Golden and Judy Zimbelman, both of Nebraska, and Charolette Nelson, of Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in the Gothenburg Cemetery, 1 ½ miles east of Highway 47 on 27th Street, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or can be donated on their website.
