Barbara Jo Sumpter, 70, of Clark died Friday, June 28, 2019. She was born September 26, 1948 at Clark, MO to Walter and Josephine (Moore) Canote.
She married Larry Sumpter on February 20, 1967 at Moberly, MO and he survives. Also surviving are her two sons and a daughter, eight grandchildren, one great-grandson, three brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Darrell Canote.
She was an avid sports fan who loved the Cardinals, Chiefs, and Tigers, but her favorite athletes were her children and grandchildren. Barbara will be remembered as the most giving wife, mother, nana and friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dialysis Clinic of Moberly are appreciated.
Services honoring and celebrating Barbara Jo’s life were held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery prior to her inurnment.
