Edwin R. Wright, age 87, died March 23, 1995 at a local hospital.
He was born February 8, 1908 in Pocatello, Idaho to John Franklin Wright and Alice Clark Wright. He married Aletha Ipsen Wright in October 1931, they had two sons. Aletha died September 16, 1977. In January 1981, he married Agnes Hales Higgins Wright. She died in March 1995. A retired skilled machinist, he worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad for 30 years and General Electric for 20 years. He was a proud 50 year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and ACACIA Lodge #17 F. and A.M. He was an avid bowler and gardener, and with his wife, Agnes, was member of the Friendly Club.
Survivors include sons, Robert M. Wright, of Salt Lake; Richard F. Wright, of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Alice Houser; and brother, Vern Wright (Della), of Salt Lake; step-daughter, Pat Hanson (Ron) and step-son, Richard Higgins (Jean); and numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 30, 1995 at Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road at 11 a.m. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, and on Monday one hour prior to services at Redwood Memorial Estates.
