LaVonne was born April 24, 1929, at St. John to Ezra and Sarah Harman Mitchell. She attended schools at St. John and Garfield.
She married Harvey Weible and the couple later divorced.
She married Joseph Thomas in 1969 and they made their home at Rosalia where they owned and operated the Longhorn Café, formerly called Harold's Club. She was a cook and waitress at the Longhorn Café for several years. She retired in 1974.
They also operated Dolly's Restaurant in Spokane and Tom's Café in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mr. Thomas died in 2006.
She enjoyed cooking, hosting family dinners, playing cards, and dancing.
