David was retired after 28 years of service in the U.S.A.F. He worked ten years at Arnold Drive Elementary School on the L.R.A.F.B., and loved seeing the children whether at the school or out and about in town. David enjoyed wood working, being in his shop, and driving his golf cart around to visit with all the neighbors. He loved going up to the camp at Greers Ferry Lake. David was known as a Patriotic and Christian man. He loved and cherished his kids and grandkids. He never met a stranger. David will be deeply missed.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years; Susie Norton, one son Charlie Norton and wife Donna, one daughter; Karen Christensen and husband Todd, two granddaughters; Samantha and Emily Christensen, and one sister; Carla Dewyea. He is preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Thelma Norton.
