ELKHART, IN. — Ina May Smith, 74, of Elkhart, formerly of Anderson, IN. passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at Hospice House of Elkhart. Ina was born on December 9, 1944 in Livingston, Tennessee to Kenneth “Mitchell” and Mary Bell (Ledbetter) Mainord.
Ina is survived by her daughters, Robin Reveal and Tiffany Brown both of Elkhart, her grandchildren; Nathan, Danielle, Skiler, Karli, Destinee, Bryce and Brayden and her great grand daughter Addison. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Watson of Anderson, IN and her brothers, John L. (Gloria) Mainord of Nashville, IN and Tony (Sharon) Mainord of Anderson, IN.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sherry Jarrett and her sister Frances Hamm.
Ina was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She retired from General Motors. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and New Life Community Church in Elkhart.
Friends visited with family on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, where the funeral was held at 10 am, with Pastor Al Kinsey officiating. Interment followed at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.
