Jason Allen Gibson, age 32, of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life suddenly on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center. He fought a courageous battle for his life after suffering a brain aneurysm on two days earlier.
He was born on February 19, 1987 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of Donna Stephens Gibson and the late Jimmie Gibson. Jason was a loving, kind, hardworking and selfless person who was always willing to help others. He enjoyed fishing, and working on cars and could always be found doing something that included working with his hands. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Jason is preceded in death by his father; Jimmie Gibson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved mother; Donna Stephens Gibson of Whitley City, his 12 year old son; Gage Atley Gibson of Russell Springs, Kentucky, his twin brother; Jeremy Gibson (Kaitlyn Fortner) of Louisville, Kentucky and another brother; Timothy Gibson (Amy Koger) of Whitley City, Kentucky, and three sisters; Shannon (Walter) Schenck of Coburn, Virginia, Jamie Gibson (Keith Davis) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Sandi (Brian) Stephens of Somerset, Kentucky and several beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will gather at his residence in Whitley City on Sunday, June 23, 2019 for a Celebration of Life Memorial Services at 1:00 p.m.
