Jewel Dean Propps Smith of Duncanville, Texas passed away June 23, 2019. She was born April 7, 1925 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, the daughter of Pete & Lucy Greene Propps. Affectionately known as “Dean”, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dean was a Christian – she lived a simple, frugal life and was always ready for a good joke. Her faith, her sense of humor and her loving family sustained her and brought her joy in her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Douglas Smith in 2008, her son, Steven Douglas Smith in 2009 as well as her 4 brothers. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, granddaughter, granddaughter, grandson, and great-granddaughter. Graveside Service is 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 1500 S. Westmoreland, Desoto, TX 75115.
