Barbara Ann Thomas Barnes, 65, of Lawndale, NC, passed away, Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her residence.
Born January 18, 1954, in Bristol, TN, daughter of the late Charles Arthur Thomas (1927–1998) and Lena Mae Price Thomas (1929–2016); wife of the late Wayne Jennings Barnes, Jr. (1951-2003).
A member of Ledford Grove Baptist Church and was a devoted caregiver to all her family.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Barnes (Amber and Jeff Barnes (Catherine); six grandchildren; five brothers, Rob Thomas (Delores), Jerry Wayne Thomas 1952–2021 (Maria), Sam Thomas, Gary Thomas (Teresa), and Rick Thomas (Bobbie); sisters, Shirley Revels, Lynn Thomas, and Lisa Buff (Chris); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jackie Price officiating; burial in Ledfords Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
