Lingering Illness

Funeral services were held in the Bountiful 1st ward at noon, Dec. 23 for True B. Hatch, 82, 73 S. 2nd W., Bountiful, who died in a Salt Lake nursing home Friday after a stroke.

BISHOP Dean Stahle was in charge. Family prayer by George Blanch; prelude and postlude music, Jo Ann Curtis; invocation, Eldon Hatch; remarks by Bishop Dean Stahle.

True Bradford Hatch was born Mar. 1, 1881, in Bountiful, a son of Orin P. and Marinda Woodward Hatch. He married Alice Janette Barlow, Mar. 22, 1900, in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died in 1937. Then he married Leah Collins Pack.

HE WAS a pioneer of Big Horn, Wyo., and Park Valley, Box Elder County. He was a farmer, rancher, retired railroad carpenter. He served in the bishopric of Matthews ward, Los Angeles from 1933 to 1936, and was a counselor in the Los Angeles High Priest quorum.

Survivors include his widow, Bountiful; six sons, three daughters: Mrs. George (Gwendolyn) Blanch, Mrs. Raymond (Nan) Lindorff, Venice B. and Ralph C. Hatch, all of Salt Lake City; J. Barlow Monterey Park, Calif.; Therice B., South San Gabriel, Calif., True B. Jr., Huntington Beach, Calif.; Mrs. R. (Florence) Walker, San Jose, Calif., and D. Kent Hatch, La Puenta, Calif.; 55 grandchildren, 120 great-grandchildren.

ALSO surviving are four brothers and six sisters, Mrs. Lora Tolman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Pauline Tolman, Sandy; Leo R. Hatch, Bluffdale; Erle E. Hatch, Orem; Ole Hatch, Tempe, Ariz.; Mrs. Leo J. (Carrie) Neville, Bountiful; Mrs. George (Grace) Thaxton, Riverton; Mrs. Ira (Alice) Burton, West Jordan; Mrs. Florence Parkin, Bountiful, and Spencer Hatch, Centerville.
