Stanley Ray Carpenter, 62, of Kinta, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home. He was born September 13, 1956 at San Angelo, Texas to Ralph and Colleen (Bryant) Carpenter. Stan was raised in Kinta and graduated from Kinta High School in the class of '74. He began a career as a pipe-liner until the late 1990's. He began working for Quinton Manor in 2009. He was beloved by the residents and he felt the same about them. Stan met the love of his life when he met Brandy Patton and they were married on May 7, 2012 and they made their home in Kinta. He loved taking care of his family, spending time with them in the country and taking Brandy for rides on his tractor, he was an avid sports fan and loved having his family with him at his favorite ball games; Kinta Basketball, OU Sooner Football and his beloved New York Yankees. He loved hunting with Hadley. Stan loved his dogs, Barkley and Daisy Mae. He was a friend to all and he never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him. Stan was of the Baptist Faith.
Stan is survived by his beloved wife, Brandy Carpenter of the home; his two daughters, Holly Smothers and husband Eric of Oklahoma City, Hadley Carpenter of Kinta; his son, Rodney Carpenter of Oklahoma City; three stepchildren, Zackary Patton, Summer Patton, Rocky Sweeten of Kinta; his father, Ralph Carpenter of Kinta; two brothers, Bentley Carpenter and Angela Maxwell of Kinta, Bradley Carpenter and wife Heidi of Kinta; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his close friend Jake Prater.
Stan is preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Carpenter; his grandparents.
Funeral Service will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 24, 2019 at Kinta First Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Mills officiating. Eulogist: Pastor Ryan Brown.
Pallbearers include Mitchell Powell, Cardell Johnson. Dewayne Ferriell, Jake Prater, Kenneth Pride, Marvin Vealy.
Burial will follow in Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
