Mrs. Lena Mae Rudolph Caldwell, long-time resident of Newbern, was born November 4, 1916. She departed this life and went to her heavenly home on June 18, 2019 after a brief illness.
She was born in Dyer County, daughter of William Ray Rudolph and Maggie Lea Gibbons Rudolph, where she spent the majority of her adult life. She and her husband, Morgan Caldwell, lived and farmed land near Newbern and raised four daughters: Joyce, Carol, Ann and Cathy. Lena Mae and Morgan's family eventually grew to eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She also leaves two sisters Margaret Ray Cochran and Billie Sue Wilson. Lena Mae was active in the Newbern United Methodist Church and enjoyed an active life style. Following the death of her husband in 2008, she moved to Franklin, Tennessee, where she lived with her daughter, Carol Smith. She was an avid reader, followed her Tennessee Titans and especially enjoyed outings to get fried catfish. Her family was blessed to have her alive, alert and active for so many years and her memory will be cherished by all of those who knew her.
Graveside services for Mrs. Caldwell will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Dr. Mike Deal.

Pallbearers will be John Shankle, Steve Shankle, Ben Shankle, David Madden, Cliff Bailey and Jason Caldwell.
